Snehal Rajeev Page was teaching illustration, and advertising graphics, at the Abhinav Art College in Pune, India when she decided that there was gap between the artist she was, and the artist she wished to be. Searching the internet, she happened across Nelson Shank's Studio Incamminati, and being thoroughly inspired by the work being created there, that she decided she must continue her studies at that school. Moving to Philadelphia, Page became Studio Incamminati's first foreign-born, full-time student. Now an alumni of the program, she has been working full-time as an artist, while passing on the lessons she learned in the United States to aspiring artists back in India.
"For me, exploring various possibilities in drawing and design is like exploring myself. There are an infinite number of designs in nature and surroundings. It is a pleasure to explore and convert them into paintings. Many great artists have created beautiful paintings with the inspiration from nature. I feel that this kind of art form suits me better, and I wish to follow the footsteps of those great artists. I feel brave and bold when I am drawing and painting."
