Good news Annigoni fans! It was announced yesterday that Annigoni's iconic 1954-55 image of Queen Elizabeth II – the Fishmongers' Portrait – will be part of the traveling exhibit The Queen: Art & Image. It is the first time in 26 years that the portrait has gone on public display, and only the third time since its commission that the Fishmongers Company has loaned out the piece. When the exhibit opened today, the Fishmongers' portrait was hung on the same wall as Annigoni's 1969 portrait of the Queen (commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery), marking only the second time that the two works have been displayed together.

Just a striking portrait. I'm stunned by it every time.
I second that. That's an incredibly powerful portrait.
